I know it has been some time since we posted an update. There has been very little change here. Shawn is still not working but we have applied for several jobs. When applying for jobs I read Shawn the questions and I am impressed at how well he comprehends and answered them! He is very bored being at home most of the time. But we are doing what we can to keep him out in the community.
Shawn goes with us on most errands, and his sister takes him places with her. He is participating in Special Olympics Bowling with PARA. He is also participating with the University of Alabama Special Olympics flag football teams.
He also decided that he would like to start participating in the Cooking classes that PARA's Therapeutic program offers.
Please keep Shawn and his job search in your thoughts, and if you hear of anyone hiring in Tuscaloosa let us know.
